The electronic Ticket Control Database is the online real time data exchange of ticket control information between ticket distributors and passenger carriers for international train journeys. These exchanges prevent fraud, reinforce electronic ticketing capabilities and allow train delay ticket annotation. Ten UIC members have already implemented their connection to eTCD and all European Railways should connect in 2025 to follow the UIC-CIT-CER Ticketing Roadmap.
The eTCD event will take place in person the morning of Tuesday November 28th 2023 in UIC building and online via Teams. It will be followed by a lunch.
