Objectives
The goal of the Workshop is to share experience and best practices of using coordinate-based methods for rail track facilities operation and maintenance in Asia-Pacific and worldwide. The main two topical units are:
1) Geodetic networks: theory and applications, challenges, latest developments and effects of use:
- reference framework buildout
- spatial referencing
- implementation in practice
2) Track design and track maintenance: theory and applications, challenges, latest developments and effects of use:
- calculation of track geometry
- design of new and existing tracks
- maintenance of the geometry defined
- verification of the stability of reference points
