Workshop online on “Use of High-Accuracy Coordinate Track Adjustment Systems for Higher Efficiency of Existing Infrastructure”

Thursday 29 October 2020, 08:00 to 11:00 am, Paris time

The goal of the Workshop is to share experience and best practices of using coordinate-based methods for rail track facilities operation and maintenance in Asia-Pacific and worldwide. The main two topical units are:

1) Geodetic networks: theory and applications, challenges, latest developments and effects of use:

  • reference framework buildout
  • spatial referencing
  • implementation in practice

2) Track design and track maintenance: theory and applications, challenges, latest developments and effects of use:

  • calculation of track geometry
  • design of new and existing tracks
  • maintenance of the geometry defined
  • verification of the stability of reference points
