UIC Virtual Training Course on ACCESSIBILITY IN RAIL

This training was created by The International Union of Railways and the ONCE Foundation for Cooperation and Social Inclusion of People with Disabilities, with the support of the PASSAGE Railway Accessibility Expert Group.

Creating a barrier-free railway where people with disabilities and/or reduced mobility can travel independently is a shared goal, and while infrastructure upgrades take time, progress is being made in this respect.

In the meantime, improving assistance services and ensuring that staff are sufficiently trained are key to enhancing the travel experience.

Professionals working with passengers with disabilities and/or reduced mobility play a crucial role in turning this vision into a reality. To support these efforts, this e-learning accessibility training course was developed to help participants integrate accessibility best practices into their daily work.
