The UIC and its members recognise the importance of door-to-door mobility services to achieve the modal shift that is necessary for a sustainable mobility system, with rail as the backbone. This new set of guidelines includes 10 Guiding Principles for railway companies that want to “take the door-to-door opportunity and lead this new transport landscape”.

This workshop will be the occasion to introduce the guidance to UIC members, sharing new best practices, new ideas and debate about sectorial perspectives, focusing in particular on the evolution of transport in door-to-door mobility, the 10 guiding principles for door-to-door, digital enablers for a seamless customer experience and a round table with railways and public transport to share best practice and plans.
