Contemporary challenges in Combined Transport from policy and business perspective

12 October 2023, online

Combined Transport is at the center of the political debate on greening freight transport in Europe. It is considered as part of a qualitative and effective solution to significantly reduce the environmental impact of freight transport. It is also considered as a solution for the increasing capacity constraints with which rail freight is confronted. Hence the initiative taken by the European Commission to adapt the legal basis with which Combined Transport is closely linked. Recently amendments to the trucks Weights & Dimensions directive have been proposed. Changes to the Combined Transport Directive are in the pipeline.

The combined transport group of UIC together with its members has been following evolutions on combined transport for many years and has contributed to many contemporary technical solutions.

These two elements are the basis for a seminar organized by UIC in close collaboration with CFL Multimodal. UIC and CFL Multimodal invite you to SAVE THE DATE to join a seminar in which stock is taken of the political agenda and in which a number of UIC technical solutions and future initiatives are presented.
