UIC Drone4Rail Workshop on uic strategy on drones for railways

11 May 2022 – UIC headquarters

The UIC Drone4Rail project members are pleased to invite you to a conference dedicated to the “UIC strategy on Drones for railways” to be held on 11 May 2022 from 14:00 to 17:00 CET.

This hybrid event is reserved for UIC members (UIC HQ and online).

Introduction

The UIC Drone4Rail group members are holding a conference that will focus on drone using strategy for railway inspection purposes.

UIC is committed with technology use and innovation challenge. The use of drones shows high potential for security purposes, optimization of maintenance, vegetation control and inspection efficiency. The main purpose is to allow Infrastructure Managers to dedicate a smaller part of their time and resources to these activities.

It will be a great opportunity to hear about important regulation aspects from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Community of European Railways (CER) position. There will also be time to discover some specific risk analysis with AirHub and data operation and management procedures thanks to Altametris. This conference will be helpful for both policy makers and railway operators and an opportunity to collaborate closer as a railway community.
